Keystone Youth Policy Summit

June 10-15, 2013

The Keystone Youth Policy Summit (YPS) blends science, adventure and fun into one exciting program that invites teens to experience just how real-life public policy problems are solved. Designed for youth ages 14-18, the program encourages participants to solve problems creatively and collaboratively, explore new challenges, and experience new adventures. This year’s summit will focus on freshwater sustainability and natural resource management. How can we create a ‘wetter, better world?’ YPS participants get to know each other before the program even begins through interactive online resources so that when they meet at KSS they’re ready to dive into their topic through the lens of a particular stakeholder such as a farmer, a public interest advocate, or a resource management official. Once at KSS they’ll conduct field research and talk to real-life experts before working together to develop action-oriented solutions to the problems they’re exploring. An adventure day will bring us closer to the concepts we’re studying as we explore the rivers and waterways that support life.

University of Miami College of Engineering Summer Scholars Program

Summer 2013, June 22- July 12

The University of Miami Summer Scholars Program (SSP) is an exciting opportunity for current high school sophomores and juniors to explore their academic passions and experience what it’s like to be a college student. This unique academic program allows students to earn college credit, interact with world class professors, make lasting friendships, and grow as independent thinkers.

UMass Amherst Summer College Programs 2013

Information is Now Available for UMass Amherst's Summer College Programs

Intensive 1: July 7-20

Intensive 2: July 21-August 3

Intensive 3: June 30-August 10

Two, four, and six-week intensives with optional college credit. STEM students may be especially interested in the Research Intensives, with opportunities to conduct real lab work with the Biology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Psychology departments.

Summer College admissions are made on a rolling basis, but programs fill up quickly so apply early!
